New arrival at Fernebahce of Turkey, Victor Moses was amazingly left out of the roll call of January transfers from the English Premier League, as several pundits failed to give him a mention in their collations.
Sports247.ng can report that on a frenetic night of several live casts and coverage of Deadline Day in England, a single mention was not given to Moses, who left Chelsea on loan to Fernebahce last week.
While two permutations could be adduced for the lack of mention given Moses, on the basis that his was not a full transfer and it came before Deadline Day, that argument was flawed by a mention for others in the same class with the former Super Eagles star.
Such it was that massive coverage went out for less known Lucas Piazon, who also left Stamford Bridge to join Chievo Verona, in place of Joel Chukwuma Obi and Michy Batshuayi, who moved to Crystal Palace.
While former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi also got a word during the course of some broadcasts, nothing was said about Moses, but five Nigerian-born players were mentioned on the log of January transfers.
However, Moses appears unperturbed, as he set his mind on lining out for his second match with Ferne at the start of this weekend, and said he wanted nothing short of both personal and team gains from the game.
Moses, who got his debut for The Yellow Canaries in midweek against Yeni Malatyaspor, put himself in the right frame for Friday’s Super Lig clash against Göztepe at Ulker Stadyumu Sukru Saracoglu in Istanbul.
Moses, who is in an 18-month deal at Ferne, lasted 24 on the minutes on the pitch for his debut, just two less than his total minutes he got under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea n the Premier League before leaving on loan.
However, Moses appears focusing on his game and future prospects, as he stated: ”Good training session. Another massive game for us.”
