Moses Faces Financial Hurdle In Palace Transfer

Chelsea winger, Victor Moses is facing another hurdle in his proposed January move to his former club, Crystal Palace, with money factors now the latest stumbling block.

Sports247.ng gathered that, so soon after The Eagles’ interest in five other forwards looked to scuttle a potential return to Selhurst Park for Moses, the suitors are now worried over the height of his wages.

The 28-year-old former Super Eagles star’s return to Palace is now under threat due to the size of his wage demands.

Moses, who extended his contract with Chelsea in March 2017, is paid £130,000 a week, £6.76m per year, at Stamford Bridge, but he has been told that Palace cannot afford to give him anything near that figure.

Palace, though, are facing challenges from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham for the winger, who has dropped out of favour at Chelsea.

However, The Eagles have thrown up an alternative plan, if they fail to agree terms with Moses, with a loan deal now being forwarded as a strong possibility.

Should Palace succeed in hooking Moses on loan, it means Chelsea will contribute in paying part of his wages.
