The Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Delta State Governor, Mr Moses Etu has felicitated with the Governor-elect on the victory at the Saturday’s Gubernatorial election in the state.
Etu, in a statement thanked and appreciated the good people of the state for electing the Speaker as the next Governor of the state on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The immediate past Chairman, Warri Wolves Football Club, described the Governor-elect, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, as an uncommon philanthropist whose hardwork has impacted the state stressing that his peaceful style of leadership at the sixth and seventh Delta State House of Assembly had brought Paradigm development to the House
The Graduate of English of Obafemi Awolowo University , OAU expressed gratitude to those who stood with the Speaker all through the campaigns, particularly, the staff of the House pointing out that the victory was another scorecard for the Legislative Chambers.
According to the former Media Officer of the Warri based outfit:
“It’s uncommon grace for someone to transit from one echelon of arm of government to another, especially from Speaker to the Governor. This is from legislature to the Executive and our Speaker is now a Governor-elect. Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is popularly regarded as the man of the people as his philantropic nature is second to none. This helped him a great deal in achieving overwhelming victory in the March 11 poll. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori is the longest serving Speaker of the Delta State Assembly and the first sitting Speaker that contested party primaries and won with landslide. Our Governor-elect is now the first sitting Speaker to be elected Governor of Delta State. May the grace of God continue to be upon him and remain forever”.
“I strongly believe that the Speaker has the capacity and cerebrum to perform beyond rhetorics. He will surely take the State to the next level and he will enjoy the full support of the people”, Moses Etu assured.
