The Ministry of Youth Development has joined forces with the Evolution Cup Pan African Tournament to create new opportunities for young Nigerians. This collaboration aligns with the Ministry’s mission to build a nation of renewed hope by empowering youth.
Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Wisdom Olawande, has endorsed the 2025 Evolution Cup, emphasizing its alignment with the government’s commitment to youth empowerment.

“Nigerian youth represent the strength, creativity, and future of our nation. Our goal is to provide them with the opportunities, tools, and support they need to succeed and shape the country’s future,” the Minister stated while receiving the tournament’s project strategist, Mr. Olawale Olatoye, at his office in Abuja.
He further highlighted the government’s dedication to uplifting young Nigerians:
“Every decision we make and every effort we put forth has the potential to transform millions of lives. We lead with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to empowering every Nigerian youth. The Evolution Cup is designed to promote grassroots football development, creating avenues for talented African players to showcase their skills on a global stage.
“The tournament was established to identify and showcase exceptional football talent, offering young African players the chance to gain exposure and attract the attention of top recruiters searching for the next generation of football stars,” the statement read.
Beyond football, the Evolution Cup plays a vital role in youth empowerment by providing a positive and engaging environment.
