Speaking at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja just before their departure, Senator Enoh assured the athletes of the nation’s unwavering support.

Addressing the athletes onboard the aircraft, Senator Enoh emphasized the significance of their representation, reminding them of the hopes and aspirations of the entire country resting on their shoulders. He encouraged the athletes, including those representing Nigeria for the first time, to build on the country’s past successes and strive for excellence.

“Let me remind you that you carry the hopes and aspirations of the entire country. As a government, the current administration will encourage you to excel without any hindrance,” Senator Enoh affirmed.

Furthermore, the Minister pledged to ensure that all allowances due to the athletes are promptly paid, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting their endeavors.

Nigeria’s performance in the previous edition of the All Africa Games, securing the second position with an impressive medal haul, serves as motivation for the current contingent as they embark on their quest for glory in Ghana.

With the Minister’s words of encouragement and the nation’s support behind them, the Nigerian athletes set off with determination to leave their mark on the 13th African Games and bring honor to their country.
