Senator John Owan Enoh, the Honourable Minister for Sports Development, has reiterated the current administration’s unwavering commitment to advancing sports development in the country.

He emphasized that the government remains dedicated to its agenda of fostering growth and excellence in sports.
In a statement, Senator Owan Enoh highlighted the administration’s proactive measures to prioritize sports development.
He revealed that the government had allocated over 12 billion Naira to settle debts accumulated by previous administrations, underscoring its determination to create a conducive environment for sports growth.
“One good thing is the fact that when I received the athletes, when they came back, we had said that what we’re going to try to do is other than continue to spend so hugely on competition, that we try to see how we can be spending more and more on preparations and for development,” Senator Owan Enoh stated.
The minister’s remarks underscore the government’s strategic shift towards investing more resources in sports preparation and development, aiming to enhance the country’s competitiveness on the global sports stage.
