Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi has revealed his awe of the instant growth and achievement of Egyptian forward, Mohammed Salah (now in Liverpool) despite a stormy spell with his former club, Chelsea.
Mohammed Salah could not nail himself in Mourinho’s star studded team and was sold along a handful of other promising youngsters including Kevin De bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, now with Inter Milan.
Mikel said: “When Salah came to Chelsea, he was a young boy, but he had a nice personality and everyone loved him. He was very disciplined, we were close friends. I believed in his development, but frankly I did not imagine that he would reach the quality that he has now.”
Salah has been on a sensational form since joining the Meryeside club, with a UCL medal to his name, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, two golden boots and his on course for the first ever EPL trophy in years with Kloop’s side.
