Mighty Wonderers of Abraka emerged champions of the 3rd Edition of the Doris Nwadiolu Memorial Cup after a 4-0 trumping of Ultimate Stars of Agbor at the Agbor Township Stadium.
The Finals was watched by many football loving fans of agbor with Chairman Delta North Football Coaches Council Emeka Okwutu as Special Guest of honor with MWO (Rtd) Gabriel Nwadiolu as Chairman KG Sports Academy as Chief Host along with several other dignitaries.
The Abraka boys scored 2 goals in each half in a game they totally dominated from start to finish.
Peace Armani scored the first goal inside 5 minutes of play to unsettle the Ultimate Defense.
Couple Bekes doubled the lead in the 26th minute as Mighty Wonderers continued to dominate.
On resumption in the second half Ultimate heaped pressure to get themselves into the game but Mighty Wonderers defender remained rock solid.
Mighty wondered increased the tally to 3-0 in the 60th minute and tournament Highest goal scorer Efenimi Tekvwe put the icing on the cake with the 4th goal in the 75th minute. It was the 17 year old’s 5th strike of the tournament.
The Chairman of the Delta North Football Coaches Council Coach Emeka Okwutu who was the Special guest of Honor along with the Widower of the Late Madam Doris Nwadiolu, MWO ( Rtd) Gabriel Nwadiolu with other guests of honors did the presentation of prizes and awards.
MIGHTY Wonderers, Winner of the tournament cart away the Gold Trophy, Gold medal and Cash Prize. Awards of the Highest goal Scorer went to Efenimi Tekvwe while Most valuable player of the tournament Award went to Destiny of Ultimate Stars and Fair play award was presented to KG Sports Academy..
All Participating teams were presented with a Certificate of Participation.
