In their unwavering quest to prepare diligently for the upcoming Nigerian National League (NNL) season, Mighty Jets Int’l FC is pulling out all the stops to ensure a remarkable campaign. In this spirit, the team from Jos engaged in a friendly match against Green Beret FC at the New Jos Stadium, with both sides striving to create opportunities during a first half that concluded without any goals.
However, Mighty Jets Int’l FC was determined to deliver a thrilling performance to their supporters. The team’s technical staff made significant personnel adjustments in the second half, and among those changes was the introduction of winger Isaac Jonathan.
Isaac Jonathan took center stage, captivating the audience with his impressive array of skills and a commanding presence on the field. Just eight minutes into the second half, he drove a precise low strike into the bottom left corner of the net, breaking the deadlock and putting Mighty Jets in the lead.
The winger wasn’t finished yet. In the 77th minute, he demonstrated his incredible speed and skill once more. Outpacing the Green Beret FC defenders on a counter-attack, he cleverly chipped the ball over the oncoming goalkeeper and into an unguarded net, doubling the lead for Mighty Jets.
Thanks to Mighty Jets’ overall control and dominance throughout the match, the Nigerian Army National team found it challenging to mount a significant offensive threat that could trouble Jets’ goalkeeper, Gobum Rotunde.
With the Nigerian National League (NNL) scheduled to commence on October 28, 2023, Mighty Jets Int’l FC plans to participate in additional friendly matches to further fine-tune their preparations before the season opener. Their first league fixture will see them face Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu, providing fans with a promising start to the new season.
