“A square peg in a square hole”, such was the comments from football enthusiasts from far and near when Mbum Ferdinand was appointed as the General Manager of Mighty Jets Int’l FC of Jos on this day in 2023.

It is on that note the entire family of Mighty Jets Int’l FC is today celebrating with it’s active General Manager, Mbum Ferdinand, as he marks one year in office.
Members of the club earlier today at training ground paid glowing tributes to Ferdinand who they described as the “game changer”.
Some of the club members who spoke in an interview today include the team’s head coach, Festus Ehiohiren Ukpebor, Assistant coach, Najib Mabo, head of the feeder team, Sammy Adesoji.
Others include team captain, Saleh Mohammed, longest serving player of the team, Gobum Rotduwe, as well as the youngest player of the team, Ukeyima Emmanuel.
They all recalled how Ferdinand immediately swung into action by bringing positivity to the club by making the welfare of all club members top of his priorities, instilling winning mentality in the team among so many other achievements in the last one year.
On his part, club Assistant General Manager, Salisu Nakande (MON), thanked His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang, for bringing them onboard and for providing them with necessary funds to aid in the development of the club, he noted that the purchase of the brand new 32-seater coaster bus was a great demonstration of love shown to the club and the management by His Excellency.
It would be recalled in the last one year spent in office, Ferdinand brought foreign football scouts from Spain who conducted a 3-day scouting programme aimed at talent identification and facilitating posible players export.
Under his watch, Ferdinand also ensured the full take over of the female team known as Mighty Jets Mata FC who competed in the State FA Cup last season.
With the massive achievements recorded in the last one year, Mighty Jets Int’l FC is poised to witness more transformations in the coming years under his watch.
