After Playing a draw in the half time, fans from both sides were expecting a toughened second half to set up another landmark of the clash. The Olukoya boys spurned their chances to win the game on several occasions and had to settle for a draw.
Speaking exclusively to Sport247.ng, The MFM young prospect, Lawal Abayomi vented his frustration with the draw despite creating so many chances.
“Records are meant to be broken, Ifeanyi Ubah came to this game determined to break the chain that we have held for so many years”, he revealed.
“Officiating is one thing I don’t even want to mention, the Referee did his part, we deserved two penalty calls that were overlooked, we will move on from this, he said”.
“We took 3 points on Matchday 1 and I believe we can do same in the next match, we already have 4 points in two games, it’s not a bad way to begin the season”.
Commenting on his nickname, (OKADA): “it’s part of the fun in football, Fans see you play, your style, your moves and create one name for you out of nowhere and before you know it, you get stuck to the name and it becomes a song with the fans, am glad”, he joked.
