The Chief Executive Officer of Ojaja II Football Academy, Akinola Martins has hailed the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, for finally extending the contract of Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rhor.
The NFF announced on Wednesday that it had agreed a two-year contract extension with Rohr, who has been incharge of the Eagles since 2016 and will be expected to lead Nigeria to qualification for a seventh World Cup finals and the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The General Coordinator of the Ojaja II Principals Cup revealed this while reacting to questions from journalists on a top Sports Whatsapp Group, Family United by Football (FUBF) on Friday evening.
The dynamic, innovative and young football administrator hinted that Nigerian football under the Franco-German has improved tremendously, while also rating the 66 years old as one of the best managers the Super Eagles has ever had.
“For me, I think Gernot Rhor has done well and deserve another contract. He is one of the best Managers in the history of the Senior National team.
“He works real hard and has stabilised the game of the Super Eagles and I believe he would do better if given a very conducive environment to operate,” Martins told FUBF.
