With less than 72 hours to the close of the 2024 summer transfer, reports emerged on Wednesday that Chelsea have finally submitted a bid for the transfer of Napoli FC forward Victor Osimhen, Sports247 reports.

The Nigerian forward has been consistently linked to the club but the official bid has now been submitted after Chelsea’s coach Enzo Maresca approved the deal.
Transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Victor Osimhen’s agent, has received a formal bid for the transfer of the player from Chelsea as talks between the parties has began in order to beat the August 31 deadline.
Meanwhile Chelsea are preparing a mega salary offer for the player as the club is willing to make Osimhen their highest paid player with a weekly wage of over 300,000 pounds but subjects to Raheem Sterling leaving via per TEAM TALK as the Blues have no issues with meeting the strikers personal terms, who is currently on 180,000 pounds with Napoli FC.
Enzo Maresca wanted more competition in Chelsea’s striking position and he is satisfied with Victor Osimhen’s number.
Napoli FC and Chelsea are confident of reaching an agreement while Chelsea are hoping to fund the transfer fees with the sales of Raheem Sterling , Trevor Chalobar who are available in the transfer market.
