Team Manchester United captain, Onome Obruthe is confident of his side’s chances ahead of next Saturday’s meeting with Team Rest of World in the final of the 2022 Firm FC inhouse football tournament.
Manchester United battled to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Chelsea in the semis to set up a highly anticipated encounter against Team Rest of World. ROW had defeated Arsenal 1-0 in their corresponding fixture earlier on Saturday.
Obruthe has fired a warning to their rivals ahead of next week’s final to be held at the White Dove School football pitch, Sangotedo Ajah, Lagos state.
“Seven of our first team players were taken away from our victorious team last season”, he said.
“We have won this tournament three times in a row. We’ll meet with the Rest of the World next Saturday and by then we’ll know who the better team is.
“We are not three-time champions just by game scene. We are three times champions because we’ve always deserved it. We have intelligent players in our mix, we have coordination, we have team spirit and oneness.”
