Head Coach of Delta Queens, Tosan Blankson has lauded Delta Queens final victory against Edo Queens at the just concluded female pre-season tournament in Abuja as they were crowned champions revealing further that the team will be properly evaluated and assessed ahead of next season.
The Delta based team won 5-4 on penalties against Edo Queens as they were crowned champions.
The ‘man for the big moments’ not taking anything away from the club’s pre-season tournament success explained thier primary reason of participation owing to the fact that he wants to see how they will play in the coming season.
“This is a pre-season tournament , I came to this competition to see how my team will play in the coming season, and to access the players individually then evaluation comes in,” Sports247.ng understands.
On the best coach award snub, he posited that it doesn’t count inasmuch thier objectives have been achieved, “not winning the best coach award isn’t a bad deal, all that matters was achieved.”
Undoubtedly, Tosan has deservedly worked his way to the top. The highly rated tactician just took Delta Queens to Super 6, qualified them to the Aiteo cup finals which is yet to be played. Won the bronze medal in Betsy Obaseki cup and now the reigning champions of the pre-season tournament in Abuja.
