Nigeria international Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze has been identified as a transfer target for Premier League top-sides Manchester City and Liverpool, according to Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old winger has been a revelation for Spanish side, Villarreal this season, after making the progress from the reserve team where he scored two goals in 13 appearances.
The Diamond Academy graduate is attracting interest from the two title chasing teams in the England, after Arsenal failed to secure his signature despite his exploit at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile – where the Golden Eaglets were victorious.
The Umuahia-born winger has scored eight goals in all competitions for The yellow Submarine this season – featuring in 36 matches across three competitions; LaLiga, Copa Del Rey and UEFA Europa League.
Chukwueze made his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a goalless draw against Uganda and is part of the provisional squad released by coach Paul Aigbogun to represent Nigeria at the U20 FIFA World Cup in Poland.
