Maikunkele United Football Club of Minna have unveiled the former Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser Abdullahi Adamu to pilot the affairs of the team in the Nigeria National League (NNL) for 2023/2024 season.
The unveiling ceremony which took place at the Football House in Minna saw the fair skinned, former Katsina United assistant coach and one of the fast growing Coach in Nigeria signed a season contract with the Minna based outfit.
Speaking shortly after penning down the deal, Coach Abdullahi said haven spent six years in the NPFL, it is time to face another challenge.
“After I left Wikki Tourists last season, I decided that it is time for me to look for a club that will give me freedom and free hand to implement my own ideas as a coach and Maikunkele United fits perfectly well.”
“I have set a personal target which is to win promotion with the team.”
Coach Abdullahi Adamu used the occasion to call on his back room staff to be committed to the set goals and work harmoniously for the success of the team.
In his remarks, the Chairman Maikunkele United Shuaibu Yakubu said the new coach was contracted based on his track record and wealth of experience which fits the Maikunkele United project.
He added that the new management of the team is making frantic effort to rebrand the club and pursue the premier league ticket to the end.
Speaking on behalf of the State FA Alhaji Sani Salawu while welcoming the new Technical Adviser assures of the football association’s readiness to render support at all times.
