Plateau United of Jos’ new handler, Abdul Maikaba has admitted that he has a tough task lying ahead of him with the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, but says he will give his best to bring improvements to the team.
Maikaba said in an interview with sports247.ng that he intends to take the club back to the continental terrain and help them do even better there than they had last time out.
The former Akwa United of Uyo gaffer stated further that, though his responsibility at the Tin City side is difficult, he wants to make his mark with the team in the coming season.
Maikaba vouched to improve their performances and promised that they will give their best in the NPFL.
“My main target is improving the club’s performance this season,” said Maikaba, “but the ultimate target is taking them back to continent. That is key to my plans.”
