The breakthrough came for Madiba FC in the 17th minute when Dada Oladimeji, the league’s top scorer, showcased his prowess with a brilliant goal, adding to his impressive tally for the season.
Egbonwon Harrison extended Madiba FC’s lead with a remarkable solo effort in the 39th minute, dribbling from midfield to seal the second goal.
Just before halftime, Aliu Solomon capitalized on an assist from Egbonwon Harrison to further cement Madiba FC’s dominance with a third goal at the stroke of halftime.
Despite both teams’ efforts in the second half to add to the scoreline, solid defensive displays prevented any further goals.
Madiba FC made strategic substitutions to bolster their attacking prowess, but Edel FC’s defence held firm.
With this convincing victory, Madiba FC reaffirmed their position at the top of the Southern Conference Group A standings, amassing 45 points and securing a spot in the Super 8 qualifier.
