Nigerian striker Sunday Adetunji has expressed excitement to have helped his club, FC Shkupi win the Macedonian Football League title for the 2021/2022 season.
Adetunji contributed massively to FC Shkupi’s title success by netting 20 goals in 28 appearances for the Smugglers to secure their first ever Macedonia league title since the formation of the club 10 years ago.
Adetunji in a twitter post said he is glad for the successful season and to have been able to achieve one of his first objectives.
“When I joined FC Shkupi,my target was to win major honours and take my club to the top. I’m honoured for the opportunity to be part of this family, the managers the coaches and teammates helped me to settle down. It was an incredible season for us,” he Tweeted.
The 23-year-old was on the books of current NPFL league leaders, Rivers United last season before moving to Macedonia at the beginning of the just concluded season.
