The newly elected Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) have conducted its first inaugural meeting in a bid to promote football events and sponsorship to various news outlet.

The inaugural meeting of the media Committee which was conducted on the 22nd of August, 2023 was to set agendas for the committee which will stand as guidelines for the committee in order to work out modalities for the administration.
The official release of the meeting is seen as follows:
It is a real privilege for us all to be on this honourable committee which was carefully selected by the LSFA as a result of our wealth of experience in the industry.
We are here to contribute our wealth of experience to the progress of media committee programs knowing well that media plays a major role in football organizations and I want every member to see this project as our own way of changing the face of football in Lagos State.
I will start by this quote from one of the greatest footballers ever that says “Everything is practice” by Pele former Brazilian Footballer.
The media plays a significant role in the promotion and marketing of Football. The media can reach a large audience and promote football events and sponsorships through various platforms such as television, radio, print, and online media. One way the media promotes football is through coverage of football events.
As previously stated, the media has always been the focal point of any football game that is the way they interview, report, analyze and disseminate information before, during, and after every game matters a lot and may make or mar the emotions of every individual, therefore, we all need to come together and look for better way push football to the people out there and also bring back the glamour past generations have enjoyed even when there was no adequate media publicity.
Likewise, credibility and integrity are the fundamental truth of Football reporting.
At this juncture, it is important to emphasize that we all should be aware of the importance of media assignments ahead of us.
That is how we can rebrand the media section of the football committee setup, look into the challenges of football media, get standardized equipment that will ease the project, create a website that is accessible to everyone, rebrand the public affairs of the media, etc.
After this first inaugural meeting, the Committee will come up with terms of Reference that will be our watchword throughout the duration of our engagement.
With these few remarks, it is my honor to officially welcome us all to this noble committee.
