Everton of England winger, Ademola Lookman has recounted the days he spent on loan at RB Leipzig of Germany and says it accorded him the opportunity to learn many new things about football.
Although many observers reckon it was an ill-advised and retrogressive move, sports247.ng reports that Lookman is still filled with nostalgia about his time in Germany, where he insists his skills added depth.
Nonetheless, Lookman, who scored in the FA Cup win over Lincoln City last weekend, said he has no problem back at Goodison Park, despite being blocked from returning to Leipzig at the start of the season.
The Nigerian-born England youth international said: “It is not a case of me being sad. I am just happy to play football.
“Football is football. I love playing football and I am glad to do that every single day.
“People said at the time I was crazy to go to Germany but I saw it as another experience and another learning curve for me. I’m glad I did go.
“I learnt about being more of a goal threat and showing what I can do. Showing my worth to the team – that is the next step for me.”
