London to Lagos biker, Rtn. Kunle Adeyanju is set to participate in this year’s edition of ‘Pedal to end polio’ initiative organized by Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa in bid to raise funds to eradicate polio globally through the 50km cycling rally.
Also the president of Rotary Club Of Ikoyi Metro, Kunle warmed himself to the hearts of many through his biking exploits after a successful London to Lagos bike journey earlier this year.
The well thought initiative which will help to forge a greater and healthier community is set to welcome over one hundred cyclist to participate in the free entry rally with the starting point at National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
According to Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa President, Rotarian Tonna Ofuasia stated that it’s a great honor to have him grace the event as he will be sharing his wealth of experience to all participating bikers.
“As we all know that the month of November is dedicated for Rotary Foundation, the Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa in her bid to contribute to doing good has set a target of raising $10,000 for Rotary Foundation, through an initiative tagged; PEDAL TO KEEP POLIO @ ZERO!

“Our aim is to keep the community healthy, making it better and this year, our target is to raise $10,000 to support the community of Rotary foundation,” she further explained.
The coordinator of the Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa foundation, Rtn. Shola Ayanwale spoke about the preparations so far,
“everything is set and this year is going to be unique as we have a lot of media coverages for this event.”
“We also thank those that have been supporting us this far, we know our reason for raising the fund and I’m optimistic that we will achieve it.”
“Why we made it a cycling event is because cycling is life, it brings happiness and joy. It enhances one’s fitness and keeps you alive and that’s why we are happy to invite cyclist in Lagos in this our event,” Ayanwale clarified.
The pedal to end polio will take place on Saturday, 3rd December, 2022 with time slated for 7:00am at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
