The Makurdi-based team, currently in fifth position on the NPFL table with 52 points, has seen a dip in form recently. They are now five points behind the league leaders, Rangers.

Despite the recent poor results, the management remains optimistic.

The statement reads, “We the management, wish to state clearly that the NPFL title is still open and Lobi Stars are in contention and favourite for a slot to represent the country.”

The team is using the one-month break to regroup and prepare for the upcoming challenges.

“We are also aware of this huge responsibility, and as such gone back to the drawing board, using the one-month break to fine-tune the team and get the players ready for the great task ahead.”

Lobi Stars’ next match will be against Akwa United when the league resumes later in the month. The team remains hopeful of a strong finish to the season
