Lobi Stars of Makurdi defender, Gabriel Adikwu has declared that the middle-belt club are ready for the CAF Champions League campaign and says they have what it takes to do well in the elite clubs’ competition.
Though many critics insists Lobi Stars are not credible league champions, considering that they won a truncated title in the past season, Adikwu told sports247.ng that his team are good enough.
Adikwu stated further that with the recent victory over Enugu Rangers in the Charity Cup at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba showed that he and his teammates are very prepared to represent the country and do well.
He added: “All of us, the players, coaches and officials, are all mentally ready for the CAF Champions League.
“We have a good team and I hope that we will do well. We are aware of the expectations from Nigerians and we don’t want to disappoint them.”
