Following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe, exuded confidence in his team’s prospects of clinching the NPFL title this season.
Looking ahead to their upcoming fixture against Enyimba, Agagbe boldly asserted that victory was assured for Lobi Stars.
He dismissed any notion of Enyimba posing a threat, citing his team’s recent performances as evidence of their superiority.
“Going home to face Enyimba is no match for me,” Agagbe declared confidently.
“Ultimate Rivers United have already come to my home, and I eliminated them.
I don’t view any team in the Nigerian league as a threat because the character my players have shown proves they are ready to conquer.”
Asserting his team’s readiness to secure maximum points against Enyimba, Agagbe emphasized his unwavering belief in their ability to dominate the league this season.
“So, Enyimba is not a threat; I will secure my three points.
As for the title, while I cannot speak definitively at this stage with ten games remaining, the signs are clear that the title is drawing closer to Benue state,” Agagbe confidently concluded, expressing optimism about Lobi Stars’ title aspirations.
