Lobi Stars have named Mohammed Baba Ganaru as their new head coach following the resignation of former manager and ex-Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi. Ganaru will lead the team until the end of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Club Chairman Dr. Philip Nongu explained that the appointment was necessary due to the team’s current league position. He urged fans to remain supportive while ensuring their criticism remains constructive.
“Everything we do is for the good of our beloved club. While we welcome criticism, it should be aimed at improving our performance. Let’s stay united in our support, knowing that with God, nothing is impossible,” Nongu stated.
In another major move, the club’s Board has formed a Management Team, with Dr. Nongu as the Head and Ganaru as Head Coach. The team includes:

Solomon Aondoakaa – Accountant
Emmanuel Uja – Media Director
Christopher Ayom – Team Nurse
Felix Pilakyaa – Welfare Officer
John Gaadi – Goalkeepers’ Trainer
Lobi Stars, known as the Pride of Benue, will face Niger Tornadoes in an intense North Central derby this Wednesday in Bauchi.
