LMC Boss Apologises Over Delayed NPFL Season

Nigeria’s League Management Company (LMC) chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko has apologised to soccer lovers in the country for the delayed kick-off in the new season and over other issues bogging the domestic championship.

 

 

Dikko told sports247.ng in the wake of Tuesday’s official unveiling of the new league format and draw that the indefinite suspension of the start of the 2018/2019 championship was due to unforeseen circumstances.

The LMC boss disclosed that, in theirn effort to ensure a better season in the coming term, they had earlier declared that a new format of two segments of 12 clubs each will feature 24 teams competing in the NPFL.

He then apologized to the fans and stakeholders for the inconveniences they might have faced on account of the delays and uncertainty, but also promised that the LMC will soon get everything right.

Dikko assured: “Everything is being done to ensure quality and interesting organization of the new season.”
