Nigeria descent Hemel Hempstead-born winger, Sheyi Ojo has left Liverpool after seven unproductive years at the club making eight appearances with no single goal coupled with a lot of loan spells.
Ojo who has undergone a medical and is set to sign a three-year deal will become Cardiff’s 11th signing of a busy transfer window for manager Steve Morison.
He leaves Liverpool on a free transfer to join the Welsh side after a successful loan spell in the 2020-2021season with five goals and seven assists, a total of twelve goal contributions in 41 appearances.
Eligible to represent England and Nigeria, Ojo made the switch to the Anfield-based club aged 14 from MK Dons after so many battles for his signature, but he opted for Liverpool.
He has represented England at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels. In September 2018, he stated he could represent Nigeria in the future.
