Leicester City Women have officially announced the departure of Ashleigh Plumptre following the expiration of her contract at King Power Stadium.

The 25-year-old Super Falcons’ star joined the club in 2020 after completing her Human Biology degree at the University of Southern California’s USC Trojans.
During her time at Leicester City, Plumptre made 23 appearances in all competitions during the 2022/23 season. She played a pivotal role in the team’s success, including lifting the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2021 and contributing to the club’s first two seasons in the women’s top flight.
Having represented Leicester City in 79 matches, the defender now bids farewell to Belvoir Drive. The club expressed its gratitude to Plumptre for her valuable contributions over the past four seasons and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Leicester City Women now enter a new phase as they continue to build their squad for the upcoming season, while Plumptre embarks on the next chapter of her footballing journey.
