Emmydinho FC Captain, Chinonso Michael has lamented his team’s unlucky loss in the Legends Cup Tournament to SGH FC after his side conceded a late deflected shot at the dying minutes of the game despite their half time lead at the Agege Soccer Temple.

Emmydinho FC will now finish as Runner A in the tourney following this result as they set up a quarter final clash with Box2Box who defeated Charlesan Fc.
Reacting after his team defeat, the efficient defender also the captain said, “both teams did well but it’s just so painful that we lost concentration which brought about the loss after the second deflected goal, but still all isn’t lost.”
“The substitutions really weighed on the team and the costly goalkeeper error, there are moments like that which is inevitable, once you take your eyes off the game for a seconds, you’ll be punished for it and that’s what happened to us, unfortunately.”
“This is not the end of the road for us as we will go back and see what next we need to do tactically as we still have so much to fight for ahead,” he charged.
The Legend Cup Tournament hosting 12 top teams is aimed at preparing players for the upcoming Surulere Regional League 2020/2021 season and also the opportunity of being scouted by foreign agents.
