Newly appointed assistant technical director of the National team, Joseph Yobo has given an insight into what it takes to suceed as a young player during his interactive session with Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi of Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club on Instagram viewed by largeable size of fans and players inclusive.
The Former Super Eagles captain listed, ‘Discipline’, ‘Hardwork’ and ‘Passion’ as the three major character that does refine a player adding that talent is not always enough.
“I have seen players with talents that has not gone far with their career and have also seen players that were not technically gifted but due to these three components they have succeeded beyond measures”, Yobo revealed.
“Discipline involves keeping your heads cool, be open to constructive criticism, following up with your training guidelines and doing all that is required as a footballer. Hardwork involves putting in personal training, watching the clips of your football idols and then adding some of their techniques that makes them great to your game.
“Out of this trio, passion is the most expedient and it involves loving what you are doing as a footballer and always ready to improve, that’s only when one can make a headway”, he advised.
