Lazio manager Marco Baroni has expressed confidence in Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s potential to become a top-class midfielder following the Nigerian’s standout performance in Lazio’s 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old midfielder not only scored but also provided an assist, playing a crucial role in Lazio’s dominant win.
Dele-Bashiru, who recently joined the Serie A side, has quickly made an impact, and Baroni believes his game will continue to improve with more experience.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Baroni emphasized the importance of tactical growth for the young midfielder.
“When I say that he needs to be built, I mean that he must focus more on tactics and how to influence the game, not just when the ball is at his feet,” Baroni said.
Baroni expressed confidence in Dele-Bashiru’s ability to adapt and evolve into a modern midfielder.
“Once he gets that, Dele-Bashiru will become a great modern midfielder,” he added.
