Team Manager, Shooting Stars Sports Club. (3SC) of Ibadan Dimeji Lawal and the head coach of the team Edith Agoye, have thumbed up the players of the Oluyole Warriors, for rising up to the billings at the just concluded maiden Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament ,held in Ijebu-Ode.
Addressing the players, hours after they subdued hard fighring Delta Force of Asaba, to emerge the champion of the tourney, in which 13 teams from the NPFlL and NNL took part, the former Shooting Stars’ players, applauded the doggedness of the players.
Kabongo, as the Team Manager, is fondly called said. ” We came here for a pre season tournament only to realise that some people have turned it to a league contest
” I want to commend both you (the players) and your coaches for lifting your game to face and overcome the challenges.
“Apart from winning the trophy, which to us is the secondary purpose why we came, we have been able to see some things and we will work on them”, said the ex international.
Esin, as Agoye is populalrly known, corroborated the words of the TM, even as he revealed what he went through when the results of the team’s first two matches, elicited negative reactions from some of the team’s supporters.
“We have achieved our major aim of participating in this tourney and that is the positives we are going home with”, he said.

Meanwhile, the team will resume training on Friday morning, after observing a two day break
