HONG KONG (CHINA) – Latvia (Men) and Azerbaijan (Women) claim tickets to the Paris Olympics as they win the first FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 in Hong Kong, China.

In the Men’s category, reigning Gold Medalists booked their place yet again into the Olympics with a 14-19 victory over Austria. Nauris Miezis was the fire for the side yet again as he put up 5 points and 7 rebounds in the blockbuster game. He was named MVP for the event, capping off an incredible tournament with a ticket to Paris.
Latvia join USA, Serbia and China who are through to the Paris Olympics based on FIBA 3×3 Federation ranking.
In the Women’s category, Azerbaijan defeated Poland in the final in a thrilling 18-17 victory, led by Tiffany Hayes who put up 6 points in the effort. Hayes took home MVP honors, putting up 32 points while creating throughout in a superb tournament for her side
Azerbaijan join China, USA and France as the teams through to the Paris Olympics, who had already marked their place based on FIBA 3×3 Federation ranking.
