Former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia in a rare disclosure stated that he would forever remain grateful to late chief Taiwo Ogunjobi for giving him his first national team coaching job.
Speaking at the Adamasigba Sports complex, Ibadan during the burial rites for the late soccer legend and Osun State FA boss, Siasia, recalled how Ogunjobi selflessly encouraged him to return home from his USA base to take up the Nigeria U20 job.
” I was based in the USA and gradually building a career as a coach. From there, I applied for the job of U20 team,” Siasia, fondly called Eusebio by his admirers explained.
” Chief Ogunjobi encouraged me to come home and he also ensured I got the job. I shall forever remain grateful to him for helping me build a successful career as a coach,” the silver and bronze Olympics soccer medals winner remarked.
