Despite having some issues with his Shoulders, WBC International Super-Flyweight Championship, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi has vowed to retain his title and continue his impressive unbeaten strick, when he defends against Norbelto Jimenez on March 6th in Dubai.
The Nigerian boxer is currently undefeated in his boxing career with 15 fights, 8 Knockout victories and a draw (the draw coming from his bout last year against Jimenez).
The Amazing Champion has assured his fans of Victory against Jimenez, come March 6th in Dubai, despite having some injury concerns on his shoulder.
In a chat with Sports247, Lasisi narrated how he picked up the shoulder injury, during his time in Kazakhstan, which prompted the draw match with Jimenez last year. He also admitted that he had been treating the issues in Nigeria since last year and is getting better now, stating that despite the injury concern, he is always prepared to defeat Jimenez in Dubai and retain his title, so as never to disappoint the love and support of his fans.
“2 years ago, I had an injury on my shoulder, after fighting in Kazakhstan against Hamson Lamandau from Indonesia”.
“I came back from Kazakhstan to Dubai in December and I was told that I had to defend my WBC International Title in March with Jimenez, but during my Camping in Dubai, I felt a lot of pains in my sparring and mitt pads and even my team told me to cancel the fight, but I told them I will do it”.
“That was how my fight against Jimenez ended in a draw. Jimenez is a great and a top fighter”.
“I came to Nigeria to fix my shoulder, since November and it is getting better now and I am now using it to do some little training”.
“I am still unbeaten with my great record of 15 fights, 8 Knockouts, and a draw and I will always give my fans a great show and a good winning. I want to assure them (the fans) that come March in Dubai, I am going to defeat Jimenez and retain my Championship”, he promised”.
Aliu Bamidele Lasisi finally urged his fans and well-wishers to always endeavour to wash their hands and protect themselves during this pandemic.
