The Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter is saddened by the demise of one of its founding fathers, Pa Bisi Lawrence is also known as BizLaw.
Lagos SWAN chairman, Debo Oshundun, in a statement on Monday, stated that the demise of the pen pusher cum administrator is a huge loss to the country.
“For the records, Uncle Bisi was a thorough sports journalist.”
“He was founding member of the association. He played a prominent role in what we refer to today as SWAN.”
Despite breathing his last at the age of 87 years, Oshundun still described his death as regrettable and sad.
“Our heart and prayers are with the family and the country for the irreparable loss of one of our best brains in journalism and sports administration,” Oshundun stated.
Biz Law served in many sporting committees which include Media Committee Chairman for Nigeria ’99 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The renowned sports administrator died on Wednesday, the 11th of November.
Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.
