Lagos State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (Lagos SWAN) has joined forces with Sports Vision Media to organise a symposium in honour of late Deji Tinubu.
Until his death, Tinubu was an active member of Lagos SWAN, despite being the executive chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission and later a special adviser to the governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
In recognition of his efforts at furthering relations within the Fourth Realm, especially by participating actively in the popular five-a-side football competition, Lagos SWAN Cup, the body is joining forces with his company, Sports Vision, to organise the forthcoming symposium.
This was revealed in a press release, which stated in part: “SportVision Media Group in collaboration with Lagos SWAN will on Thursday, Nov. 29 by 10am at SWAN Hall organize a media parley to announce the first Deji Tinubu symposium.
“The initiative is being powered by SportVision in collaboration with Lagos SWAN, in remembrance of the late CEO of SportVision, first Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission and long standing member of Lagos SWAN.
“The symposium is being proposed for January, 2019 to celebrate the life and time of the late Deji Tinubu who left an indelible mark in the heart of many who came across him.”
