Expressing his disappointment, Samuel said, “Well, today’s game, I felt so bad about today’s match. I felt so bad because we were a goal down and we found the equalizer and took the game to penalties. I felt so bad for not saving any penalty in the shootout.”
The captain acknowledged the mental setback they faced after conceding a goal, attributing it to their ultimate defeat. “We were supposed to win this game, but we were down mentally when we conceded the goal. That’s the reason why we lost. So, I’m not happy at all. I’m not happy about today’s game, but we will work well next time.”
Samuel also reflected on their journey from the group stage to the second semi-final, expressing excitement about their performance. “I feel so excited because in the group stage, we won three games and that gave us nine points.
We qualified with nine points straight, and I was so excited because we were working as a team. We really tried our best, despite the fact that there were no good facilities.”
