Former Lagos State Football Association chairman, Seyi Akinwunmi has sent his well wishes and congratulatory message to the newly elected board as he enjoins continuity of development in grassroots development of Nigeria sports.

Fuad Oki, popularly hailed as FO emerged as the new Lagos State Football Association chairman after defeating Tade Azeez in the just concluded election amidst shouts of approval and support.
A scion of Lagos’ royal Abibu-Oki dynasty and an advocate of grassroots sports, Hon. Fuad Oki won with a landslide victory to emerge Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association picking up thirteen votes against his opponent who recorded just only one vote.
“Congratulations to the new board of the Lagos State Football Association. I wish you all the best and pray that the point of our limit will be a mere starting point for the new board as Lagos State Football continues to lead grassroots development in Nigeria,” the message read.
It will be notably recalled that after 12 years in administration, the immediate past 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi tendered his resignation to allow for a new takeover having overseen a lot of reformations and development in all factions of sports in the state.
The vice chairman as elected will be 36 Lions owner, Liamed Gafar who also won with a landslide victory against Dotun Coker.
The astute sports lover and his executives have now taken up the new office administration of the Lagos State FA as he will look to continue in the good steps of his predecessors with immediate effect.
