Speaking on the development, Honourable Damilare Orimoloye, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for his dedication to improving Lagos’ sporting landscape.

“Mr. Governor is a ‘say and do’ man. In one of my interviews, I listed all his promises to Lagosians regarding sports infrastructure, and today, we are seeing those promises being fulfilled. All the facilities under construction will be completed, and more will be added,” Orimoloye stated.

The newly launched booking platform allows individuals, sports teams, corporate bodies, and event organizers to easily access and reserve state-owned facilities, including Teslim Balogun Stadium, Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Rowe Park Sports Centre, Agege Stadium, and others.

Orimoloye emphasized that beyond construction and renovation, the focus must be on maintenance to ensure long-term usability of the facilities.

“The major focus now is maintenance. To avoid constantly renovating our stadiums, we need a working system in place. This digital platform is a game-changer, ensuring proper monitoring and management of our facilities,” he added.

With this initiative, Orimoloye assured Lagosians that all sports facilities will be completed and properly managed, further solidifying Lagos as a hub for sports development in Nigeria.
