This year’s edition of the annual Lagos International Polo Cup is billed to begin Wednesday, March 13, with teams competing for five trophies – Silver Cup, Open Cup, Oba of Lagos Cup, Low Cup and Majekodunmi Cup.
The competition, which holds at Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi, has featured in the past top players like Alphonso Pieres, Gonzalo Pieres and Alan Kent, such that this year’s edition again promises excitement for polo fans.
Some of the players expected this year include , a seven-goaler from Argentina, Tomas Fernandez Llorente, as well as South Africa’s Tom De Bryune and Diego White, a +6 handicap player from Argentina.
Sports247.ng gathered further that other top polo professionals that are expected in Lagos in midweek are Chris Mckenzie, Pedro Soria, Leroux Hendrix, and Martin Waiganjo.
