Lagos football lovers could not hide their feeling for the love for good football displayed by Prince Kazeem Eletu FC after defeating a Lagos based amateur 1, Messiah Football Club of Ikeja 3-1 in a friendly match played yesterday at Agege Stadium
The encounter which lived up to expectations saw Prince Kazeem Eletu FC tactically better and dominated the encounter as fans who watched the game said both teams played good football but Prince Kazeem Eletu FC performed excellently well to win the heart of Lagos football fans.
Some fans who spoke to our correspondent said Prince Kazeem Eletu FC are forced to be reckoned with as far as Lagos football is a concern.
Some of them also said the coaching crew has worked on the players and there is a fast improvement on the team.
“ Prince Kazeem Eletu FC improves every game and I think they deserve applause because their coaching crew has worked on the players. Their performance against Messiah FC showed that they are a good side and if they continue like this, they would shock more big clubs in Lagos,” said a fan who identified himself as Kunle.
In a pulsating tie, Ajadi Morakinyo opened the scoring in the 12th minutes. The early goal spurred Prince Kazeem Eletu to assert their authority over their opponents. Peter Onuoha second’s goal condemned their opponents to defeat before the half time ended.
The second half was a tough one for both teams but Akanni Akeem’ shot from the outside confirmed Prince Kazeem Eletu FC’s supremacy over their opponents.
A consolatory goal was scored by Messiah player, Ibrahim Adigun in the 78th minutes to end the encounter 3-1.
Technical Director Alex Coppolani said both teams played but the better side won the game. He said his team were tactically disciplined and took their chances at the right time but noted that the team still need to improve before their invitational tournament in Morocco.
Messiah FC Coach, David Dosu commended their opponents said he has learned some mistakes which would be corrected before their league match next month.
