Lagos State Football Coaches Association has commiserated with the members of Alimosho Football Coaches Council over the death of their leader Ifeanyi Ikpo Moses who died last Thursday morning.

In a statement signed by secretary of the association, Rasheed Sulaiman and copied sports247.ng described the death of their colleague as a rude shock to the Lagos State football coaching community, and prayed for the family of departed soul and Alimosho Football Coaches Council, asking God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“With a complete shock and disbelief that we received the news of the sudden demise of Alimosho Football Coaches Council Leader, Coach Ifeanyi Ikpo Moses, which occurred on Wednesday 2nd November, 2022 in Lagos.
“On behalf of the Lagos State Football Coaching Community and secretariat, we offer most profound condolences to the immediate family, the Alimosho Football Coaches Council, friends and the entire Lagos State sporting community for the passing on of Coach Ifeanyi Ikpo-Moses.Indeed, the late Coach Ifeanyi Ikpo-Moses played a big role in deepening sports excellence in the state and Alimosho Community as regard to the football coaching sector development.May his soul rest in peace,”the statement reads.
Chairman of Lagos State Football Coaches Association, Tairu Hassan said the late coach had contributed immensely during every deliberation concerning welfare of football coaching and governance and promised that the association has concluded plans to pay condolence visit to the Alimosho football coaches council and the family of deceased coach .
Ikpo-Moses was a former Coach with the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) which he won the National Sports Festival Football Gold medal in female football event in 2012.
He was actively involved in the organization and sponsorship of the Alimosho Football League, it’s Media Summits and Awards.
The late Coach Ifeanyi Ikpo-Moses according to Hassan was a true believer of integration, particularly in channeling a better course for football coaching from the zone to the state and national level.
He described him as a man of great intellect, vision and courage who contributed immensely to the course of Lagos State Football Coaching community unity and development.
He said the deceased coach dedicated himself to building bridges to a better future and in this way, he touched the lives of many of his colleagues in the council and association.
“Today we mourn the passing of a great son of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a great Football Coach who has left behind a powerful legacy of humility, simplicity and dedication in our struggle for relevance in the football community, democratic culture, justice, peace, prosperity, unity and togetherness in Lagos State and by extension Nigeria.
“The entire Lagos State Football Coaching Community share with the bereaved family, the Alimosho Football Coaching Community, the Local Government, the Coaches of Lagos State, the feelings of great loss at this moment of deep sorrow. MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD REST HIS SOUL IN ETERNAL PEACE! AMEN,”said Hassan who urged the Lagos football coaches to pay condolence visit to the Alimosho Football Coaches Council.
