Leader of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Ifeanyichukwu Moses Ikpo has revealed why he visited President Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Ladan Bosso in Abuja recently
Ikpo is among the candidate who is vying for the chairmanship seat in the forthcoming elections of Lagos State Football Coaches Association, LSFAC.
Ikpo in a chat with our correspondent said he is Abuja to present his election manifesto and declared his intention to run for chairmanship seat in LSFAC to Coach Ladan Bosso who is my mentor and senior colleague in the coaching profession.
The Alimosho council leader said he did not romance Bosso to support him for his election but revealed his plans for him if he is elected.
“I am in Abuja to present my election manifesto to Coach Ladan Bosso. I had a fruitful discussion with him concerning my plans for Lagos football coaches. Like I said before my intention to contest for chairmanship seat into LSFAC is born out of the passion I have for my coaches in Lagos. I am not contesting to fight anybody but I am contesting to reposition the Lagos State Football Coaches Association if I am elected,” he said.
Ikpo said he is ready to face any candidate on the manifesto day saying that the Lagos football coaches have their destiny in their hands to determine their next chairman of the association.
“I am not desperate for power but I am better prepared to serve as a servant coach to all my coaches in the state. if I am elected. I am using medium to reach my colleagues in this our noble profession to cast their votes for me during the election day,” he said.
Commenting on his achievements in his council, Ikpo boasted that he has achieved a lot as a leader in the Alimosho football coaches’ council saying that during his own tenure, the council has secured a sponsorship deal with a sports manufacturing company for the Alimosho football league, organize an award night for players and coaches and ensure that all members are treated equally irrespective of age, religion, tribe and educational background.
