The newly executive board members of Lagos State Football Association LSFA have concluded plans to revive some football competitions that have been abandoned by the past administration.
In a communique of Extra Ordinary General Assembly of the Lagos State Football Association LSFA held at Teslim Balogun Stadium recently stated that the board had agreed to organise many football competitions that would make the coaches, refrees and other stakeholders busy throughout the year.
Secretary Communique Drafting Committee,Rabiu-Okikioposu Akeem stated that the congress mandated the Executive Committee to ensure the commencement of all football programmes, including the Junior League, Ibile Cup, Street Soccer Tournament, Principal Cup and Oba Cup, and directed the relevant LSFA standing committees to appropriate support in this regard.
The communique also stated that Congress expressed appreciation to past Chairmen of the LSFA, for the support given to the LSFA Extra-Ordinary General Assembly and thanked Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the continuous support of the Government and the Lagos State Sports Commission led by its Chairman, Mr. Sola Aiyepekun, the Director General Mr. Toyin Gafar.
The Congress further approved for the executive committee to take all necessary steps and actions to conduct elections into the Local Football Councils, State Executive Committee, and all other outstanding election at Divisional levels within forty-five (45) days of the Congress.
It also states that the Congress approves New LSFA Logo,approval of Budget cycle from June -July,appointment of Appeal Committee and electoral committee members to conduct elections into the newly established and outstanding seats at the Divisional levels.
