Following the game, Jeremiah shared his excitement and insights in an exclusive interview with Sports247.

“The game is a very nice game. I am not as scared of the opposing team. We came out, we prepared well, put in our best and got the result we expected as a team,” Jeremiah remarked.
Scoring two goals in their tournament opener naturally brought immense joy to Jeremiah. His happiness was evident as he discussed his achievements, and he vowed to continue delivering outstanding performances throughout the competition.
“I feel happy, I feel very happy, and this will continue throughout the tournament,” he expressed.
Assessing their opponent, Lekki United, Jeremiah acknowledged their skills but believed they were superior due to better mastery of the game’s techniques.
“They are not a bad side; they are good with the ball but they lack some techniques of the game. We are better than them,” Jeremiah noted.
Reflecting on grassroots football in Nigeria, Jeremiah recognized the challenges but remained determined to climb to the pinnacle of his career. He stressed that success as a footballer in Nigeria required unwavering dedication and hard work.
“Grassroots football is not doing bad. This country is not an easy one. For you to be a footballer in Nigeria, you need to work hard to get to the top. So, I’ll put in all my best so I can get to the top of my career,” he affirmed.
Jeremiah Christopher also revealed that his role model is Victor Osimhen, a testament to his aspirations and ambition to reach great heights in the world of football.
