FC Robo Queens Football Supporters Club has sent a congratulatory message to the team for emerging champions of the recent Lagos State Challenge Cup.
In the women category,FC Robo Queens defeated Dannaz Ladies 3-0 in the Lagos FA Cup final which played recently at the Onikan stadium, Lagos Island.
President of FC Robo Football Supporters Club,Yeyi Mathew in his statement described team’s success as a collective efforts of the players, coaching crew led by Emmanuel Osahon and fans who are always around with the team during their training and match venue.
Mathew said the victory of the team was well deserved and commended the players for their resilience, fighting spirits exhibited throughout the state FA Cup final.
“On behalf of FC Robo Football Supporters Club, I congratulate our girls for their scintillating performance recorded in the last FA Cup final.We have won the title several times and we still maintain the champions this year.This is to say FC Robo Queens are formidable and indomitable team as far women football is concerned in Lagos,”he said.
Commenting on their 13-0 victory over Immaculate Queens in the recent Federation Cup, Mathew quickly commended the consistency of the team boasting that FC Robo Queens have it takes to win this year’s Federation Cup.
“I am not surprised with the wide margin victory over Immaculate Queens.Presently our girls are on top of their game and they are ready to beat any team that come their way,”he said.
In his own comment, secretary of the Supporters Club, Okanlawon Adepegba congraulated the team for not winning Lagos FA Cup also for qualifying for Super six playoff in the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL.
According to him, FC Robo Queens are one of the best teams in the league and he is no suprised with the team’s achievements in the recent time.
“Before the commencement of Lagos FA Cup, i knew that we were going to win it. Secondly before the premier league kicked off, i knew our teams would qualify for super six playoff and our victory in federation cup confirmed that our girls are in the best form of their game.We are proud of them and we wish them best of luck in the ongoing Federation Cup and super six playoffs,”he said.
