Lagos FA Cup: Utility Sports, Bucknor Land In Second Round

Utility Sports Football Club on Tuesday morning recorded 2-1 Victory over Grace Sports Channels FC in the first round of the ongoing Lagos State Challenge Cup.

The match saw Abayomi Edema and Hassan Jamiu scored two goals for Utility Sports to advance into the second round of the competition.

General manager of Utility Sports, Abiodun Lawal has expressed happiness over the team’s performance and urged the players not to lose focus in their next match.

“It was a hard fough victory for us because we scored our winning goal at the last minute. The players had displayed high level of commitment and doggedness against their opponents. I congratulate them and wish them best of luck in their next game,” he said.

In other results, Bucknor also defeated Chekas United 2-1 to book a place in the second round of the tournament.

Action continues tomorrow as Ante face Tico, Billionaire Academy clash with Crowned Academy, while Smart City feeders confront Lion Heart. All the matches would be held at the Maracana stadium, Ajegunle.
